Creative Faces: Learning Through Art and Play
At BabeeShark Home Daycare & Preschool, we believe art gives children a wonderful opportunity to express themselves, explore their creativity, and develop important early learning skills.
Today, our preschool children created colorful paper hair using strips of construction paper. They cut, curled, and arranged the pieces to create unique hairstyles for their drawings.
This simple art activity gave children the opportunity to make choices, experiment with colors, and use their imagination while creating something of their own. Using scissors and working with small pieces of paper also helped strengthen fine motor skills, hand control, and coordination.
As the children worked, they practiced following directions, concentrating on their projects, and sharing materials with their friends. Each creation was different, giving the children an opportunity to celebrate their own ideas and creativity.
Creative activities like this are an important part of early childhood learning at BabeeShark. Art supports self expression, confidence, concentration, coordination, and problem solving while making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
At BabeeShark, we encourage children to create, explore, and express themselves while building skills that support their growth both inside and outside the classroom.
