Magnetic Discoveries: Exploring the Science of Magnets

At BabeeShark Home Daycare & Preschool, we encourage children to learn through exploration, experimentation, and hands on discovery. Simple science activities help children ask questions, make observations, and develop critical thinking skills while having fun.

Today, our preschool children explored the exciting world of magnetism. They learned that magnets have a special force that can attract certain objects while others are not affected.

The children enjoyed making predictions before testing a variety of everyday objects. They carefully observed which items were attracted to the magnets and which were not, comparing their discoveries and sharing their ideas with friends throughout the activity.

This engaging science experience encouraged curiosity, observation, problem solving, and early reasoning skills. As children experimented with magnets, they also strengthened fine motor skills, communication, and confidence while learning through play.

Activities like this introduce children to important STEM concepts in a fun and age appropriate way. By encouraging exploration, asking questions, and discovering answers together, children develop a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

At BabeeShark, we believe the best learning happens when children are excited to explore, experiment, and discover how the world around them works.
